Symantec Endpoint Protectionのデータベースが巨大化する

いま利用中の環境では、約3.3Gになっていますが、バックアップしてみると実際の使用量は1.5Gほどしか無いようです。Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0 MR2からはこの問題は解決していますが、旧バージョンからアップグレードした環境では解決されません。

手動で圧縮する方法は下記の通り

  1. 念のためデータベースをバックアップします
  2. 下記のサービスを停止

    Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager
    Symantec Embedded Database


  3. 下記のコマンドを実行

    C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\ASA\win32>dbunload -c "dbf=C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\db\sem5.db;start=dbsrv9;uid=dba;pwd=[管理者パスワード]" -ar
